Colorado WINS Kickoff Convention

SmallConventionColorado state employees have voted, and now 32,000 of us are ready to make our voices heard.

But winning the election was only the first step—now we have to build our organization to make our partnership work — an effort that begins with our kickoff convention on Oct. 3 and 4 in Denver.

Help Set Our Priorities

CWINSSurveyThis summer, we took a big first step toward developing a meaningful partnership with the state by voting to unite tens of thousands of state employees in Colorado WINS. For the first time ever, state employees have both the vision and the opportunity to sit down with the state to directly discuss ways to improve our jobs and the services we provide.

We’re all committed to building a new, powerful organization with expertise and influence on both the policy and politics that affect state jobs and services. And we’re dedicated to both increasing the value of the services we provide to our communities and ensuring that we have the resources necessary to do a job we can be proud of.

Now, it’s up to us to build our organization so that we can start negotiating improvements for ourselves, our families and all Colorado residents. This is our organization, so we need to decide on our priorities. The first step toward establishing those priorities is to fill out this short four-question survey…[CLICK TO COMPLETE THE COLORADO WINS SURVEY]

BREAKING: FS and PS Employees File for Election!

TerryDavisMore than 11,000 State employees in the Financial Services (FS) and Professional Services (PS) occupational groups have filed to hold an election to vote on our official employee organization.

Employees in five other occupational groups* held their election last month, and when the ballots were counted on June 10, all five units elected Colorado WINS as their employee organization.

Under the Governor’s Executive Order there is a 15-day waiting period before an election date is set. Once an election date is set, employees in FS and PS will receive a mail-in ballot at home so that we can have the opportunity to vote YES for Colorado WINS.

Once we vote yes, we’ll join the 21,000 state employees who are already represented by Colorado WINS.

DC2When all 32,000 state employees come together, we’ll finally have the opportunity to negotiate real improvements in our jobs and public services.

Check with your organizer or at ColoradoWINS.org for updates and more information on the election process as it unfolds.

*The five units voting to choose Colorado WINS on June 10 include: Enforcement and Protective Services (EPS); Physical Sciences and Engineering (PSE); Health Care Services (HCS); Labor, Trades, and Crafts (LTC); and Administrative Supports & Related (ASR).
